FAQs
Questions we hear most from beginners
Still have questions? Our instructors are happy to talk through your specific situation before you book.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Basic swimming comfort — you don't need to be fast or strong. You should be able to swim 200m (or 300m with a mask, fins and snorkel) and float for 10 minutes. Our instructors review these skills at the start of the course.
Can non-divers come along?
Yes — PADI certification courses are designed specifically for first-time beginners. Every skill is taught in a controlled, shallow pool environment before you ever enter open water. Our instructors maintain close supervision throughout.
Do I need to buy any equipment?
Not to start. All equipment is included in your course — BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins, tanks. After certification, many students choose to buy their own mask and fins first. Visit our Gear Shop for fit-first guidance.
Can you take a language course other than English?
Yes! Our instructors speak English, Arabic, French and Spanish. Just let us know your preference when booking and we'll match you with the right instructor.
